Danny Wein is doing it Frank's way.
The Frank Sinatra sound-alike (not impersonator, there's a difference) is belting out standards at various venues. The On the Town family caught his act in the lobby of the J.W. Marriott in Cherry Creek North. Let's just say that he did Old Blue Eys proud. From Fly Me to the Moon to High Hopes to The Lady is a Tramp, the hits just kept coming. "I was a kid when I used to listen to my parents' albums. You remember the vinyl stuff?" Wein joked. "It was so much him, it was the music. Even at the young age, I know that music was cool stuff." Roughly 13 years ago, Wein graduated from singing in the shower to taking his show on the road at local karaoke clubs. "People would listen to me and say, 'Jeez, we thought you were lip-syncing,' " he said. Even though Wein has a build similar to "the skinny kid from Hoboken," the sound-alike singer doesn't try to impersonate the Chairman of the Board with props or gestures. He packs 'em in purely on his voice.
